MUSK LIKELY TO BECOME TWITTER CEO
CALIFORNIA: After closing his $44 billion takeover of the social-media firm, Elon Musk is likely to become Twitter's temporary CEO. This was revealed on Thursday by a person familiar with the matter, as the billionaire inches closer to close the deal.
Parag Agrawal, who was made Twitter's CEO in November, is expected to remain in his role until Musk takes over. CNBC was the first to report on Thursday that Musk plans to become interim Twitter CEO.
Saudi Arabian investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who had said last month that the deal price was not sufficient for him to sell his shares, said Musk would be an "excellent leader" for Twitter and agreed to roll his $1.89 billion stake into the deal.
