Fresh Covid cases in India hovered below 2,000 for the second day as 1,549 cases and 31 fatalities were reported in 24 hours ending at 8 am on Monday. There were 1,562 cases on the previous day.
The active caseload is down to 25,106, with Kerala topping with the highest active cases at 6,639. Delhi, Assam, Goa, J&K and Sikkim reported minor rise in active cases.
As many as 29 out of 36 states and Union Territories reported not a single Covid infection in the last 24 hours while Kerala reported 4 infections, Karnataka 2, and Delhi, Maharashtra, MP, Haryana and Nagaland had one infection each, according to Health Ministry. There were very low Covid vaccinations in 24 hours at just 2.97 lakh while nationwide vaccination was up to 181.24 crore.
