In a rare goodwill gesture, a Muslim handed ... Ishtiyak Ahmad Khan, gifted 23 katha of land worth R$ 2.50 er for construction of the world's largest Ram temple at Sindhwalia in Last Champaran district, 175 km from Patna,
His other family members were the ürst to handover their part of land for the proposed temple earlier.
Kishore Kunal, trustee of Mahabir Mandir trust, en gaged in construction of the temple, said Ishtiyak would be a member of the Ram bemple construction com mittee
Ishtiyak told mediaper sons that it was an honour for him to be a donor of land for the temple. "People do nate land for hospitals and schools. I have donated land for the Ramtemple, waich is bring constructed in my vil lage". Kunal appreciated the gesture and admitted. It is because of assistance and cooperation of his family: the temple construction could bagin."
Kunal, an IPS obicer of 1972 batch, was oficer on special duty dealing with Ayodhya dispute and authored a book Ayodhya Re visited'. He said the temple being constructed with Rs 500 crore will be taller than Angkor Wat temple and would be completed by De. cember 2024. It is located on the four lane Ram Janki highway linking Ayodhya to Janakpur
