In no time the perpetrator of birbhum arson is arrested

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after meeting the family of the deceased in Rampurhat, made a dramatic announcement about the main perpetrator of the Birbhum arson - TMC block president Anarul Hussain.
"Hussain should surrender in front of the cops. The IC and SDPO didn't work. The police should be more active and those who don't wish to work should leave their jobs," said Mamata. Within hours of the announcement, Tarapith police in Birbhum district arrested Hussain who is presently being quizzed. Not convinced at the outcome, the opposition cried foul. BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh said it was absurd that the Chief Minister takes someone's name and that person is arrested. “It is a fake arrest," asserted Ghosh. BJP MP Saumitra Khan, 'in turn, claimed that TMC Birbhum district president Anubrata Mandal was behind the massacre.

Close aides of Hussain have also claimed that Mandal has framed Hussain and claimed that the latter is 'innocent
Mamata also announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased. While handing over Rs 5 lakh cheque to the relatives, she also announced RS 2 lakh grant for rebuilding the scorched homes; also, jobs would be given to members of victims' families under Chief Minister's quota
Mamata also ordered police to undertake a 10-day special clean-up drive to recover illegal arms and ammunition across the state.
The Chief Minister alleged that there. was a big conspiracy' behind the killings. "I never believed something so barbaric could happen in modern Bengal. Mothers and children were killed. Your family members died but my heart has been crushed," she said.
After meeting the family members of the deceased, the Chief Minister went to meet the injured at Rampurhat hospital.
"Five people were hospitalised, one of whom with 60 per cent burns is critical. I wanted to airlift the patient to Kolkata but after the doctor said that there can be complications I decided to send an expert team here," added Mamata.
National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Justice Arun Mishra meanwhile, taken suo motu nizance of the killings in the B district.
